Your things stay with you

Stowen saves your things, dates, notes, and attached files locally on your device. You do not need a Stowen account. We do not operate a Stowen server that stores your collection.

When your device is signed in to an Apple Account, Stowen also keeps your collection and attached files in your own private iCloud database, so your devices stay in sync. This is free, it is not part of Premium, and it happens automatically — there is no connection step. The data sits in your Apple Account, not in a Stowen account: we have no way to read it. Apple processes it under its privacy policy. With no Apple Account signed in, your collection simply stays on the device.

Information used to improve the app

Stowen uses TelemetryDeck for app analytics. This includes app launches, onboarding steps, creation of things and dates, and paywall and purchase events. Signals can include an anonymized installation identifier, app and device information, and fixed values such as a category or event type.

Our custom analytics events do not include your thing names, notes, saved dates, collection identifiers, attachment contents, or the payment amounts you enter. Read more about TelemetryDeck’s privacy practices.

Premium and purchases

Premium is an auto-renewable subscription sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment under its privacy policy, and Stowen never receives your payment card details.

To present Premium offers and to check which subscription is active, Stowen uses RevenueCat. It receives a randomly generated app user identifier that is not tied to any Stowen account, your App Store purchase receipts and subscription status, your interactions with the paywall, and basic app and device information such as the app version, device model, and iOS version. It does not receive your thing names, notes, saved dates, attached files, or the amounts you enter. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy for how it handles this data.

Files, reminders, and widgets

You choose which files or photos to attach through the system picker. Notification permission is used to deliver reminders about your dates. You can change notification permissions in iOS Settings.

Home Screen widgets use a local snapshot of upcoming events shared with the Stowen widget. Event names appear by default; you can hide them in the widget’s configuration. Reminder details can also be hidden in Stowen’s reminder settings.

Messages you send us

If you email support or send a privacy request, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, and any attachments you choose to include. We use this information to answer your request and investigate the issue. Please avoid sending passport scans, payment details, or other sensitive collection content.

Your choices and deletion

You can edit your records and move things, events, and files to Trash. Trash items can be restored for 30 days, or deleted permanently earlier. Expired items are removed when the app next performs cleanup. Permanent deletion includes the selected record’s contents.

A deletion travels to iCloud and your other devices like any other change, and it takes the attached file contents with it. Stowen leaves no marker behind for a deleted record. Deleting the app from a device does not by itself remove the copy held in your Apple Account; that copy is managed through Apple’s own iCloud settings.

For access, correction, or deletion requests concerning information you have sent us, email privacy@getstowen.app. We cannot retrieve or delete your collection for you: it lives on your device and in your own Apple Account, and Stowen operates no server that holds a copy.

This website

The Stowen website has no analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or contact forms. It is hosted on Cloudflare, which may process connection information such as your IP address and request metadata to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. External websites have their own privacy practices.
